Japanese architect Kengo Kuma is famous for designs that blend nature and architecture. One of his most poetic works is the Bamboo Passage installation.
Made from rows of upright bamboo poles, it formed a tunnel-like walkway where light and shadow shifted as you moved through. It turned a simple act of walking into an experience of transition and reflection.
Though temporary, Bamboo Passage showed how design can transform even the smallest journey into something memorable.
Inspired by this idea, we created the Passage Ring—a wearable piece that
echoes the rhythm of Kuma’s bamboo corridor. It’s a reminder of movement, growth, and the beauty of passage.
